I (and all my direct reports) simply do at least 50 times as much as I ever could under one of my prior micro-managers. Most of those things don't amount to much, but some do. And in the end, the volume of occasional successes adds up to success overall.<br /><br />And my life is immeasurably more enjoyable.<br /><br />So my advice is: if you work for a micro-manager, think about another job.
